worldview I

Hello everyone, its been a while for like three months and no news from me. Well what can i say, just like the picture says life really depends on the way you look at it. First i must sincerely apologize for the last three month, i know many of you have been expecting to hear from me. I will share a little story of what transpired resulting in the absence all this while and the lessons i got to learn from it all.
      On the 10th of July, that was on a Friday, it rained that day but i still had to go to school.While in school i met a young man who seemed broken and out of placed. He looked rather tattered like he needed help. Of course i knew this person cause we once lived in the same compound some years ago when we were much younger. He approached me and told me he needed financial assistance and that he was hungry and so many other things he said. I had compassion on him just like our Lord Jesus Christ would. I took him to where he ate and gave him some money.
     After that he appealed to use my phone to make call, which i did gave him. With confidence and trust, i left the phone with him to answer a call form a senior counsel in school. On my coming back, i didn't find the young man and my phone. I tried calling the line, he offed the phone. This incident occurred on the 10th of July, so on the 11th of July being my birthday by the way, i went to see his parents and i reported the matter to them. They were all in tears saying that there was a misunderstanding in the house concerning money on the said 10th and the young man angrily dashed out of the house that morning without trace. Since that day till today, no one has heard from him.
    My fear is whether he is died or alive at least he should show himself. Anyway, the incident made me wonder whether the concept that people has newly decided to embrace is correct. This being that no one should do good to people because they will always return your good gesture with negative or bad attitudes. Well i must confess, when this incident occurred i almost embraced it, i mean i gave him money, fed him and all that but all he could do is to steal my phone, come all it really did hurt.
So i understand the point where most of us are coming from but lets not forget that there is more to our self and this world than that we actually see. Besides as a christian that has eternity in view, its a time to go back to your Creator God to know what he has to say about this matter. Its not every worldview concept that a believer should embrace, there is more. Besides the ways of God are not the ways of men, likewise the ways of the kingdom are not the ways of the world and we are followers of Jesus Christ.
      When what happened occurred, i made up my mind not to help anybody again especially those close to me and the aftermath of such a resolution was that the blessings i was suppose to get that period ( the period my pastor, Pastor David Ogbueli was dealing on service and ministry especially the giving ministry) i missed them all just because of something that i now refer to as insignificant. sometimes the devil uses some of these things to make you loss focus from the kingdom. My head was cleared the day my pastor said "just keep giving, it  doesn't matter whether the person is deceiving you or not, the person will face God's judgement while you will receive God's blessing"
     If you read the book of Matthew chapter 5 verse 42, the bible now gave the finally verdict by saying: "GIVE TO HIM THAT ASKETH THEE, AND FROM HIM THAT WOULD BORROW OF THEE TURN NOT THOU AWAY". let us all once again sit down and let go of some of those things that has happened to us to have made us embrace the worldview of caring for people and embrace the kingdom concept again. for in the verse 48 of chapter 5 of Matthew, the word said we should be perfect as our father in heaven is perfect.

Hi everyone, how have all been? I hope you all have been good. Though this is coming kind of late, I want to specially introduce one of my best friends to you today, her name is Blessing and yesterday being the 29th of June was her birthday. I want to say Happy Birthday to you Blessing, like your name implies, you have indeed been a blessing to me ever seen I met you in secondary school. I just wish I can say more but from the depth of my heart am going to be saying this, so pay attention.
    When others say I have no hope, you gather all yours and give to me. When I don't understand what it means to love, you sit me down and teach me. When I desperately want to hate, you discourage me with everything within your power. When I lack friends, you send them to me. Somehow I lack words to express who, what, you mean to me but one thing am ever sure of is that I LOVE YOU - Saranghe.
    I would also want to use this avenue to say a big Happy Birthday to my mother, mentor, teacher, pastor Sarah Ogbueli. that's one thing I love about 29th June, because its the day the two persons I love very much were born. mummy thank you very much for coming into my life. God will continue to keep you for me and every woman in Dominion City. we love you ma.

FEAR NOT

         Hello everyone, its been a while and am sorry for the silence. Just that school has resumed and if your a law student you will understand what it means for school to be in session. lol! Just so much to cover and more are still coming. Anyway, am not complaining and if your a student reading this, you shouldn't also complain about going to school because it is one of the important years and days of your life that you will always remember.

                 lets read this quote: "Fear makes us feel weak and helpless and causes us to think we are alone in the world. But God has assured us that His spirit in us is greater than any worldly power". 1John 4:4

                Something happened yesterday to me that made me remember and understand this word of knowledge the more. Its what I will refer to as going back to time. Some persons call it deja vu, but I simply refer to it as a habit that was not properly eradicated. Most times we depend on our will power to overcome certain characters especially fear, but we end up being scared the more.  

 Yesterday I was meant to do a presentation in front of all EBSU law clinicians, our lecturers and some invited guests. I was shaking seriously. Well most of you will say its because you didn't prepare well for it. I must confess I was over ready for the presentation. The surprising thing is that this is not the first time I am going to be standing in a stage at least because I have had to opportunity to stand to speak to a lot of persons both in church, fellowship, class, etc. The reason why I was shaking I couldn't fathom. It felt like standing out, there I was going to be swallowed by everyone. Well the good news is that I did the presentation very well to my greatest surprise.

     After the presentation there was something that bothered me. Even though the presentation went well, the precedent incident made me realize that I didn't know I am and what I am carrying inside me as contained in 1 John4:4. The only thing in my mind was the fact that I am scared in other words fear (a strong, uncontrollable, unpleasant emotion caused by actual or perceived danger or threat. its just a release of some hormones in your body system). It made me come to realize that a lot of people go through the same trauma and many never get to finish and others don't even start at all. 2 Tim 1:7 provides thus "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." this typically shows us the mind of God.

       I don't know what exactly you are scared of but this is the time for you to understand what your carrying inside so as to release them. You can take the following steps to overcome this fear.

• Consciously build your self confidence, you can decide to go and talk to a group of persons if your scared of crowds.
• Start with small groups before going to a larger group.
• If its a proposal you have prepared but your scared it will be turned down, take it to an expert in that field to examine it for you before presenting it.
• You can always confess this to yourself anytime you encounter fear, "Lord I am tempted to fear what I cannot understand or control. but my security rests in you and not in what happens to me or around me. help me to rest in your unfailing love."

This will go a long way in helping you overcome your fears. for those who has no relationship with God, this is the time to make amends with Him because He is ready to take away your fears.

            Hello everyone, hope your all doing great. There is something I will like to share with you all that will help you all. we all know what DESIRE is. In a simple term it refers to a sense or state of deep hunger, longing and thirst. Its a word most of us are familiar with and its also a word most of us don't pay attention to especially as believers (Christians). David said in the book of Psalm 27 vs 4, that one thing has he desired from the lord that he will seek after God... most a times we desire things but don't know how to get them. Desiring a thing doesn't stop with just the desire, there is a second leg called SEEKING. Lets put it in this context: when you love someone or a thing, you put in all the necessary effort you can to get such a thing. Those efforts can otherwise referred to as seeking. As a believer especially young believers, you must desire God. He cares about every little (as you call it, but its not) details about you. A person that is an uncreated creator. Don't you ever get curious as to know such a person. Desire should be the heart cry of every Christian cause it pushes you to the area of seeing. Lets all remember our first love again. If you don't know this wonderful man am talking about, He is JESUS CHRIST, the prince of peace, the most holy one, the all knowing... if you don't know he, get to know Him cause he is the best person to ever meet in life. This will awaken a desire for him.

Hello everyone, am Ozioma Ukpai, a law student currently in my 300 level now. Yes the blog is new. Its open to everyone who wants to understand "desire" and those that wants to understand. It takes its origin from the scripture, ISAIAH 32:8. Stay with me as we take this tour and assist as well. I have alot more to tell you guys but let's leave it to our next talk.
